A 15-storey commercial tower has been proposed for a mechanic’s workshop site at South Melbourne by a syndicate planning Australia’s tallest tower on the Gold Coast.

South Sturt Pty Ltd has filed an application with the City of Port Phillip for an office building with food and drink premises at 282-284 Sturt Street, on the corner of Eastern Road. The estimated construction cost has been listed at $44.2 million.

South Sturt Pty Ltd is a development vehicle. The project itself is being led by Pivot Capital Group, co-founded and co-owned by Anthony Goss and Tarryn Walsh, with Brett Rogers of Baracon acting as development manager.
